		<title>Which are the hardware requirements?</title>
		<answer>The DEFCAR System runs in a Personal Computer as workstation connected to a Novel type Local Net. The minimum requirements are the following:

- Intel Pentium microprocessor 100 Mhz
- 16 Mb RAM Memory
- 10 Mb free at hard disk
- 1.44 Mb disk drive
- 1024 x 768 graphic card 
- 14" screen
- Windows 3.11, 95, 98, or NT

Anyway, in order to get the best efficiency, we strongly recommend a minimum configuration as follows:

- Intel Pentium microprocessor 233 Mhz
- 32 Mb RAM Memory
- 2 GB Hard disk
- 1.44 Mb disk drive
- SVGA graphic card with 2 Mb 
- 17" or 20" screen with 1280 x 1024 resolution
- 33600 BPS modem
- Windows 3.11, 95, 98 or NT

As net peripherals we recommend to have a laser printer and a A0 plotter.

		<title>In which languages is Defcar System available?</title>
		<answer>It is available in Spanish, English and Italian. Soon, in German.

Nevertheless, we can also personalise the System to any other language. We will send you an Excel sheet with the terms included in the program to be translated. After that,  they will be included FREE in the DEFCAR System.

		<answer>Our Support Service will check any file sent by email. You will have a quick and effective answer. Also, your doubts can be solved by fax.

This service is included in the Price during the first year. At the end of the first year, we advise you to sign the maintenance and support service contract.

With the DECAR System you are not only obtaining a modern CAD/CAM software, but also the support of a technical office with wide experience in ship design and shipbuilding. We are already one of the leader offices in Spain.

		<title>What does the manitenance service consist of and how much does it cost? </title>
		<answer>The maintenance service consists of the following:

- Technical support 5 days a week, from 09:00 to 21:00 GMT.
- Updating of the programs in the same version.  
- Updating of the manuals.

The first year is free. The following years the cost is only 10% of the Price of  the modules.

For clients in Spain an annual visit to check and optimise the System is included in the maintenance service. Please ask for availability in other countries.

		<title>How will my staff learn the Defcar System?</title>
		<answer>One of the main characteristics of the DEFCAR System is its friendly user and flexibility. The only condition to obtain the maximum performance is that the user knows his profession. Don't worry about the rest.

The technicians of DEFCAR Ingenieros will install the program in your computers and they will train to your staff.

A standard course could be as  follows:

- 1 day for installation and configuration of the DEFCAR System and net.
- 5 days for design modules and naval architecture calculations (DFform and DFhydro).
- 2 days for shell expansion module (DFshell)
- 2 days for structural steelwork module (DFstruc)
- 1 day for nesting and NC cutting module (Lantek)
- 5 days for piping module (DFpipe)

Note:  Days are calculated regarding with our previous experience. Nevertheless, each shipyard could request a different working plan.

We recommend also to use your next building as an example to give the training course. This way, this period would impact directly about the productivity of the shipyard, since the users would not only learn to use the System, but would also speed up their work. 

At the end of the training period we commit to your technicians will have realized the hull fairing, naval architecture calculations, seams-drawing and shell expansion. They will also generate the first files for nesting of internal structure and supervised by high qualified staff of DEFCAR Ingenieros.

On the other hand, nowadays the most significant development that our technicians are realizing are the followings:

- Implementation of damage stability (probabilistic method),  in DFhydro.
